About Rebalance

_____

Mike retired recently from the Police after 30 years in service. Loving nothing more than pushing himself to the limits, Mike is an endurance trail runner, cycling enthusiast and skier.

Since starting his running career in 2012, Mike has completed many half and full marathons before embarking on ultra running distances. Over recent years he has competed in the South Downs Way 50, Lakeland 100, OCC in Chamonix, French Alps as part of the Ultra Trail Mont Blanc series and most recently The Spine Race, Britain’s most brutal foot race taking in all 268 miles of the Pennine Way.

Mike knows all too well how combining a physically and mentally demanding career, with a very active lifestyle – and being a busy dad – can take its toll on the body. Mike has always believed in the power of massage to help his body, and therefore his mental health, to spring back to optimum performance. Having regular bodywork treatment himself over the years, has only but given him first-hand experience and understanding of the full benefits and relief gained from it.

But it was during rehabilitation after ankle surgery early in his running career that Mike experienced the true benefits of sports massage. His ongoing drive to keep fit and active was behind his desire to train in this area, launching Rebalance after Police retirement.

Mike gained a Level 4 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy (ITEC) at St Mary’s University, Twickenham. He has also qualified in sports taping and strapping at St Mary’s and completed his qualification in medical acupuncture at OMT Training, London.

Mike is extremely passionate about what he does and his regular clients are runners, rugby players, footballers, cyclists and triathletes.
